The Arctic Festival Received a Grant

On 28 April 2022, Czech Agricultural University in Prague (CZU) with the support of the partner institutions AUI (Agricultural University of Iceland) in Reykjavík, CICERO (Center for International Climate and Environmental Research) in Oslo and the Nordic Society in Reykjavík applied for financial support concerning preparation and implementation of the Arctic Festival 2022. The grant application for Bilateral Initiatives from the Fund for Bilateral Relations within the EEA and Norway Grants was approved on 30 May 2022. Nowadays, intensive fine-tuning of the AF programme, addressing of participants and selection of topics of the scientific and cultural conference and detailed selection of Arctic-themed films to be screened at the Arctic Film Festival are going on. All information will be gradually added to the Events chapter on the AF website.

Czech Film Day in Greenland

A Czech Film Day will take place at the cultural centre Katuaq in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, on 19 October 2021. The main guest will be Viktor Zavadil, lead actor in the Czech film Jan Palach (2020). The article in the weekly Sermitsiaq. The article in the weekly Nuuk Ugeavis.
